Interactive lamp for improved user experience within mental care. A collaboration with Vor Frues Hospital.
This lamp gives the user the possibility to affect their environment through a visual and tactile experience. We wanted to create a product which could help the patients achieve a sense of control in their private rooms. Through research, user interviews and testing we discovered that the use of light and colour had a positive effect on the patients well being.
Colour is already being used in psychological treatment and is proven beneficial in treatment of depression and bipolar disorder. The product we made is a wall lamp with an unconventional remote control. The user can change the light intensity and hue through simple and intuitive interactions.
